Veterans Day started as a day to reflect upon the dedication, heroism, and sacrifice of those who died in the service of our Country and was originally called Armistice Day. November 11th was selected because it is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. In 1954, the name of this Holiday was changed to “Veterans Day” to both acknowledge and pay our respects to all of the Veterans in all wars.
Veterans Day is a time for us to pay our respects to those who have served. On this important day, we all stand united in our support and respect for all our veterans.
We wish all of our Veterans a Happy Veterans Day and thank you for your patriotism and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good of America.
